Artist Bio

Jerry Ware is a Denver-based session drummer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and founder of Skylight Music Records LLC. Playing drums since age three, he brings a versatile approach across country, rock, soul, jazz, pop and worship.

His live experience includes drumming with Flattop Rider, Messenger 7 and Taste of Winehouse, an Amy Winehouse tribute project. He also brings bass experience with Flattop Rider. His recording collaborations include Denver singer-songwriter Melissa Ivey, with shared release credits on Metallic Beast and Love’s Gonna Heal Ya, as well as drums on Round and Round with Matthew Baca and Justin Lakkari.

Jerry records frequently for remote projects using Logic Pro and delivers separate multitrack files. His dedicated home studio includes a Yamaha Custom acoustic drum kit, Shure drum microphones, Focusrite recording equipment, Mac Studio M4, KRK nearfield studio monitors and a subwoofer, acoustic treatment, auxiliary percussion, upright piano and digital keyboard. Live directed sessions are available, with typical delivery in 3–5 days.

Whether your song needs a steady country pocket, a soul groove, an expressive rock performance or subtle percussion, Jerry focuses on dependable timing and parts that serve the song. Send a rough mix, tempo, references and creative notes to discuss your project.
